Subjects for painting

A second IY session
Another 40 minutes of music to finish first DAT we started with Mondays session
then we got another 20 minutes or so into a second tape.
We expanded on the set up and sonic of the first session
jumped right back into some new bts and music from Kenneth.
Michael by now had set up Arp so he was playing two kyboards ,
Kenneth on Jambox bass and acoustic guitar miked, vocal
We had arrived at this basic set up on Mon.it was working again ,
and so we got another quite good - great mix , lots of energy working off those first pieces ...
Bts and music of 'Ike Yard 3' got compared (to the last Mon.version),
explored a few times finding and cueing sounds working it out .
One version had interupt when the UPS man buzzed - we all stopped dead in our tracks
Worked also on MD's 'insectoid' bt and music second time these sessions getting used to it, refining it nicely along

As the afternoon session went long we tried different set ups
On one piece i tried to make bts on Reason on the fly to cross with the Jambox
Set tempo and it in and out of synch , but in an Ike yardian way we can roll with
Kenneth's bts had a quiet part and a bigboom pounding drum part too , so I hand synched in some new kicks and industrial noise metal sheety type thing to bounce off what he had. Hit it nice a couple times and so we rode that couple times ,
getting into details , refining , clicked in
And we set up MD's electric guitar and fx and I set up small hand perc mic and had this Japanese wood box on a stand to play by hand , that stuff was sounding good too and did some pieces in this formation until we wrapped it

Evening incoming storm that had dumped 6 inches of snow on Chicago was imminent
and between 7:30-8 PM it broke from the West in gusts and bursts of drivin rain
Afterwards the large clouds of the front large hulked up blue and gray knotted shoulders over Brooklyn and Greenpoint as high winds blew it straight through
into clear blue black night
with big moon shine clear over the city
